ذِكْرُ الْخَبَرِ الْمُدْحِضِ قَوْلَ مَنْ زَعَمَ أَنَّ أَبَا إِسْحَاقَ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ هَذَا الْخَبَرَ مِنَ الْأَسْوَدِ وَمَسْرُوقٍ

ibnhibban:1571 – al-Ḥasan b. Sufyān > Muḥammad b. Khallād al-Bāhilī Abū Bakr > Bahz b. Asad > Shuʿbah > Abū Isḥāq > al-Aswad And Masrūq > Nashhad > ʿĀʾishah

"I heard Masruq and Al-Aswad say: We bear witness that 'Aishah said: 'When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was with me after 'Asr, he would pray them (these two Rak'ahs).'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 576)   

ابن حبّان:١٥٧١ – أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَلَّادٍ الْبَاهِلِيُّ أَبُو بَكْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ الْأَسْوَدَ وَمَسْرُوقًا قَالَا نَشْهَدُ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ «مَا كَانَ يَوْمَهَا الَّذِي كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عِنْدَهَا إِلَّا صَلَّى بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ»

Whenever the Prophet ﷺ come to me after the ʿAsr prayer, he always prayed two rakʿat.

muslim:835d – Ibn al-Muthanná And Ibn Bashhār > Ibn al-Muthanná > Muḥammad b. Jaʿfar > Shuʿbah > Abū Isḥāq > al-Aswad And Masrūq > Nashhad > ʿĀʾishah

We bear testimony to the fact that 'A'isha said: Never was there a day that he (the Holy Prophet) was with me and he did not observe two rak'ahs of prayer in my house, i. e. two rak'ahs after the Asr.  

مسلم:٨٣٥d – وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَابْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ

عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ وَمَسْرُوقٍ قَالاَ نَشْهَدُ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ مَا كَانَ يَوْمُهُ الَّذِي كَانَ يَكُونُ عِنْدِي إِلاَّ صَلاَّهُمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي بَيْتِي تَعْنِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ  

nasai:576 – Ismāʿīl b. Masʿūd > Khālid b. al-Ḥārith > Shuʿbah > Abū Isḥāq > Masrūq And al-Aswad > Nashhad > ʿĀʾishah

النسائي:٥٧٦ – أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ مَسْرُوقًا وَالأَسْوَدَ قَالاَ نَشْهَدُ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا كَانَ عِنْدِي بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ صَلاَّهُمَا  

abudawud:1279 – Ḥafṣ b. ʿUmar > Shuʿbah > Abū Isḥāq > al-Aswad And Masrūq > Nashhad > ʿĀʾishah

We bear witness that 'Aishah said: Not a day passed but the Prophet ﷺ prayed two rak'ahs after the 'Asr prayer  

أبو داود:١٢٧٩ – حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ

عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ وَمَسْرُوقٍ قَالاَ نَشْهَدُ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ ؓ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ مَا مِنْ يَوْمٍ يَأْتِي عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ إِلاَّ صَلَّى بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ  

ahmad:25027 – ʿAffān > Shuʿbah > Abū Isḥāq > al-Aswad b. Yazīd Wmasrūq Yaqūlān Nashhad > ʿĀʾishah

[Machine] She said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ never failed to pray two rak'ahs after the afternoon prayer whenever he was with me on any day."  

أحمد:٢٥٠٢٧ – حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْأَسْوَدَ بْنَ يَزِيدَ ومَسْرُوقًا يَقُولَانِ نَشْهَدُ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ مَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عِنْدِي فِييَوْمٍ إِلَّا صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ  

ahmad:25437 – Muḥammad b. Jaʿfar > Shuʿbah > Abū Isḥāq > al-Aswad And Masrūq Annahumā > Nashhad > ʿĀʾishah

We bear witness that 'Aishah said: Not a day passed but the Prophet ﷺ prayed two rak'ahs after the 'Asr prayer (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1279)
