[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed for the people on the day of sacrifice, and when he finished his sermon and prayer, he slaughtered a sheep with his own hand and said, "In the name of Allah, Allah is the Greatest. O Allah, this is on my behalf and on behalf of those who have not sacrificed from my nation."  

الحاكم:٧٥٥٣ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ أَنْبَأَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ أَنْبَأَ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ وَيَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَمْرٍو مَوْلَى الْمُطَّلِبِ عَنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَعَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَّ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَهُمَا

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَلَّى لِلنَّاسِ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ مِنْ خُطْبَتِهِ وَصَلَاتِهِ ضَحَّى بِكَبْشٍ فَذَبَحَهُ هُوَ بِنَفْسِهِ وَقَالَ «بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُمَّ هَذَا عَنِّي وَعَنْ مَنْ لَمْ يُضَحِّ مِنْ أُمَّتِي»

I witnessed sacrificing along with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at the place of prayer. When he finished his sermon, he descended from his pulpit, and a ram was brought to him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ slaughtered it with his hand, and said: In the name of Allah, Allah, is Most Great. This is from me and from those who did not sacrifice from my community.  

أبو داود:٢٨١٠ – حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ يَعْنِي الإِسْكَنْدَرَانِيَّ عَنْ عَمْرٍو عَنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ

شَهِدْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ الأَضْحَى بِالْمُصَلَّى فَلَمَّا قَضَى خُطْبَتَهُ نَزَلَ مِنْ مِنْبَرِهِ وَأُتِيَ بِكَبْشٍ فَذَبَحَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِيَدِهِ وَقَالَ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ هَذَا عَنِّي وَعَمَّنْ لَمْ يُضَحِّ مِنْ أُمَّتِي

"I attended the Eid Al-Adha' with the Prophet ﷺ at the Musalla. When he finished his Khutbah, he descended from his Minbar and was given a male sheep. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ slaughtered it with his hand and said: 'Bismillah, Wa Allahu Akbar, this from me and whoever does not slaughter from my Ummah.'"  

الترمذي:١٥٢١ – حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو عَنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَغَيْرِهِمْ أَنْ يَقُولَ الرَّجُلُ إِذَا ذَبَحَ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَهُوَ قَوْلُ ابْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ وَالْمُطَّلِبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَنْطَبٍ يُقَالُ إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْ جَابِرٍ
