[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to be asked about the Hour until the verse was revealed, "About what are they asking one another? About the great news (i.e., the Hour) - that concerning which they are in disagreement. No! They are going to know." [An-Naba' 1-3]  

الحاكم:٧حَدَّثَنَا الْإِمَامُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَقِيهُ أَنْبَأَ بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

لَمْ يَزَلْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُسْأَلُ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ حَتَّى نَزَلَتْ {فِيمَ أَنْتَ مِنْ ذِكْرَاهَا إِلَى رَبِّكَ مُنْتَهَاهَا} [النازعات 44] «»  

هَذَا حَدِيثٌ لَمْ يُخَرَّجْ فِي الصَّحِيحَيْنِ وَهُوَ مَحْفُوظٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِهِمَا مَعًا وَقَدِ احْتَجَّا مَعًا بِأَحَادِيثِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to be asked about the Hour (i.e., the Day of Judgment) until the following verse was revealed to him: "They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival? In what [position] are you that you should mention it? To your Lord is its finality" [An-Nazi'at 43]. He ﷺ responded, "It has no knowledge, except with God."

هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ فَإِنَّ ابْنَ عُيَيْنَةَ كَانَ يُرْسِلُهُ بِآخِرِهِ

You will surely see the Hellfire. Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty. Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُكْثِرُ ذِكْرَ السَّاعَةِ حَتَّى نَزَلَتْ {فِيمَ أَنْتَ مِنْ ذِكْرَاهَا إِلَى رَبِّكَ مُنْتَهَاهَا}
