hakim:5242Ismāʿīl b. Muḥammad b. al-Faḍl al-Shaʿrānī from my father > al-Ḥākim > al-Hiql b. Ziyād > al-Awzāʿī > Abū ʿAmmār > Wāthilah b. al-Asqaʿ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The best of the Sudaan are three: Luqman, Bilal, and Mihja, the slave of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. They possess a sound chain of narration and have never fabricated anything.  

الحاكم:٥٢٤٢أَخْبَرَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ الشَّعْرَانِيُّ ثنا جَدِّي ثنا الْحَاكِمُ عَنِ الْهِقْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَمَّارٍ عَنْ وَاثِلَةَ بْنِ الْأَسْقَعِ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ خَيْرُ السُّودَانِ ثَلَاثَةٌ لُقْمَانُ وَبِلَالٌ وَمِهْجَعٌ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ «صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ»
