[Machine] "Islam, the son of Khalid, was a long-time Muslim, and his first brother who accepted Islam was Aslam. The beginning of his Islam was that he saw in a dream that he was standing on the edge of the Fire, as if his father was pushing him away from it. He also saw that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was holding onto his waist, preventing him from falling. So he woke up in a panic and said, 'I swear by Allah, this is a true vision.' He then met Abu Bakr ibn Abi Quhafa and mentioned it to him. Abu Bakr said, 'I wish good for you. This is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . Follow him, for you will surely follow him and enter Islam with him. Islam will protect you from entering it, and your father is already in it.' So Khalid met the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was in Ajyad, and he said to him, 'O Muhammad, why do you call people?' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, 'I invite them to worship Allah alone, without associating partners with Him, and to testify that Muhammad is His slave and messenger. And I call them to abandon the worship of stones that neither harm nor benefit, and whose true nature is unknown to those who worship them.' Khalid said, 'Indeed, I testify that there is no god but Allah, and I testify that you are the Messenger of Allah.' He then sent his father to seek out his remaining children who had not yet embraced Islam, and he brought them to his father, Abu Uhayha. When Abu Uhayha saw them, he woke up and started crying, and he struck Khalid with a whip in his hand until he broke it on his head. Then he said, 'You have followed Muhammad while you see the opposition of his people and the disgrace of their previous gods.' Khalid said, 'By Allah, I have spoken the truth.' Abu Uhayha became angry and insulted him, and then he said, 'Go, Luka', wherever you like, and I swear by Allah, I will prevent you from your sustenance.' Khalid said, 'If you prevent me, then Allah will provide me with what I need to live.' So Abu Uhayha expelled him and said to his sons, 'Do not speak to him, and if any of you do, I will do to him what I did to him.' Khalid then went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , who honored him and allowed him to stay with him."

[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived in Madinah after leaving Ta'if, Bujair Ibn Zuhair Ibn Abi Salma wrote a letter to his brother Ka'b Ibn Zuhair Ibn Abi Salma informing him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had killed some men in Makkah who used to insult and harm him. He also mentioned that the remaining poets of Quraysh, Ibn Al-Ziba'ra and Hubayrah Ibn Abi Wahb, had fled in every direction. He advised Ka'b to seek forgiveness from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ if he had any need, as the Messenger would not kill anyone who came to him repentant. If he did not do so, he should flee for his own safety. Ka'b responded to his brother's message with a poem in which he praised the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and expressed his fear for his own life. It is mentioned that Ka'b showed this poem to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and it became well-known. Ka'b then left until he reached Madinah, where he stayed with a man who had a connection with him from Juhayna tribe. The next morning, he went with this man to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he was praying Fajr (before sunrise). Ka'b prayed with the people and then the man pointed to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "This is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . Approach him and seek his safety." The man later told Ka'b that he had approached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and placed his hand in His hand, but the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not recognize him. Ka'b said, "O Messenger of Allah, I am Ka'b Ibn Zuhair, who has come to you seeking safety and repentance. Would you accept it from me if I bring him to you?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Yes." Ka'b then said, "O Messenger of Allah, I am Ka'b Ibn Zuhair."

Ka'ab recited poems in which he praised the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned his fear and the trembling of his knees due to the news. Then he left until he reached Medina and stayed with a man who had a connection with him from Juheinah, as he had told me. The next morning, he accompanied him to the Messenger of Allah's ﷺ prayer. He prayed with the people, then his companion pointed him towards the Prophet ﷺ and said, "This is the Messenger of Allah, so go to him and seek his protection." He told me that he approached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and placed his hand in his hand, but the Messenger of Allah did not recognize him. He said, "O Messenger of Allah, Ka'ab ibn Zuhair has come seeking your protection, having repented and embraced Islam. Will you accept him if I bring him to you?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Yes." He said, "O Messenger of Allah, I am Ka'ab ibn Zuhair." Ibn Ishaq said, Asim ibn Omar ibn Qatadah narrated to me that a man from the Ansar jumped towards him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, let me and Allah's enemy strike his neck." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Leave him, for he has come repenting and seeking pardon." The Ansar were angry with this man for what he had done to their companion.

Would you be willing to receive him if I bring him to you?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Yes." Ka'b then said, "O Messenger of Allah, I am Ka'b bin Zuhair." Ibn Ishaq said that 'Asim bin 'Umar bin Qatadah reported that a man from the Ansar alighted and said, "O Messenger of Allah, let me take his life for you as the enemy of Allah." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Leave him, as he has come repentant and seeking forgiveness." The Ansar became angry at him for what he had done to their companion. That happened because they did not know that Ka'b had come repentant, seeking forgiveness.
