[Machine] When Salim, the slave of Abu Hudhayfah, was killed, they said, "One-fourth of the Quran is lost, as he had not memorized it completely according to the condition of the two Sheikhs, and they did not write it down."  

الحاكم:٥٠٠٤أَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ ثنا أَبِي ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ السَّبَّاقِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ

لَمَّا قُتِلَ سَالِمٌ مَوْلَى أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ قَالُوا ذَهَبَ رُبْعُ الْقُرْآنِ «صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ»
