[Machine] "And I saw Talha, and he loved the gatherings the most, so he would excel in them. He would stroke his beard against his chest. I said to him, 'O Abu Muhammad, I see that you love the gatherings the most and you stroke your beard against your chest. If you dislike this matter, then leave it, as no one forces you to do it.' He said, 'O Alqamah bin Waqqas, do not blame me. We were once united like one hand against our enemies, but now we have become like two mighty mountains of iron, and one of us reaches out to his companion.' Al-Dhahabi remained silent about this in his summary."

[Machine] "And I saw him and he loved gatherings, filling them with his presence, and he was stroking his beard with his hand. So I said to him, 'O Abu Muhammad, I see you and I love gatherings, especially when you are present, and you are stroking your beard. Would you dislike this today, so let it go, for no one would object to it?' He said, 'O Alqamah bin Waqqas, do not blame me. We used to be united against anyone other than us, but today they have divided into two opposing groups, and one of us attacks the other. However, I was with Uthman in a matter that I do not see its expiation except through shedding my blood in seeking his blood.' I asked, 'Then why don't you leave him, especially since you have young children? Leave him, for if it becomes a matter of inheritance, it will be your responsibility.' He said, 'He knows better. I dislike seeing anyone have ill intention in this matter, so I defend him.' So I spoke to Muhammad bin Talha about his negligence, and he said, 'I dislike asking the messenger of Allah about Abi Sinan's chain of narration.'"
