hakim:3915 – al-Shaykh Abū Bakr b. Isḥāq > ʿAbdullāh b. Aḥmad b. Ḥanbal from my father > Muḥammad / Ibn Jaʿfar > Shuʿbah > ʿAlī b. Zayd Wayūnus b. ʿUbayd Yuḥaddithān > ʿAmmār a freed slave of Banī Hāshim

[Machine] Narrated Abu Hurairah: As for Ali, he narrated it to the Prophet ﷺ . And as for Yunus, Abu Hurairah did not mention him in this verse: "And a witness and a witnessed" (Surah Al-Buruj, 3). He said, "The witness is the Day of Arafah and the Day of Jumu'ah, and the witnessed is the promised Day of Resurrection." This is a hadith narrated by Shu'bah from Yunus ibn 'Ubaid, considered authentic according to the conditions of the two sheikhs (Al-Bukhari and Muslim) but they did not include it in their collections.  

الحاكم:٣٩١٥ – أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّيْخُ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا مُحَمَّدٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ زَيْدٍ وَيُونُسَ بْنَ عُبَيْدٍ يُحَدِّثَانِ عَنْ عَمَّارٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَمَّا عَلِيٌّ فَرَفَعَهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَأَمَّا يُونُسُ فَلَمْ يَعُدَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ فِي هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ {وَشَاهِدٍ وَمَشْهُودٍ} [البروج 3] قَالَ «الشَّاهِدُ يَوْمُ عَرَفَةَ وَيَوْمُ الْجُمُعَةِ وَالْمَشْهُودُ هُوَ الْمَوْعُودُ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ» حَدِيثُ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ على شرط البخاري ومسلم

[Machine] Narrated Abu Huraira: As for Ali, the Prophet raised him and as for Yunus (Jonah), Abu Huraira did not mention that he said anything about this verse, {And (by) the witness and what is witnessed} (Surah Al-Burooj, 85:3). He said, "It means the witness of the Day of Arafah and the promised day is the Day of Resurrection."

[Machine] Narrated by Abu Huraira: Ali raised this question to the Prophet ﷺ about Yunus (Jonah), and Abi Huraira was not mentioned in this verse: "And by the witness and what is witnessed" [Surah Al-Burooj, verse 3]. The Prophet replied, "The witness is the Day of Arafah and the Day of Friday, and what is witnessed is the promised Day, the Day of Resurrection."
