[Machine] "Tauus used to pray two units of prayer after Asr (afternoon prayer), so Ibn Abbas said to him: 'Leave it.' Tauus replied: 'We have only been prohibited from them if they are made to resemble the obligatory prayer before sunset.' Ibn Abbas said: 'Verily, the Prophet ﷺ used to prohibit prayer after Asr, and I do not know if one would be punished for it or rewarded, for Allah Almighty says: 'And it is not for a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter, that they should [thereafter] have any choice about their affair.' (Surah Al-Ahzab, 33:36)."

[Machine] There was a peacock praying two units after Asr prayer, so Ibn Abbas said to him, "Leave them." He said, "It was only forbidden to perform them on a ladder." Ibn Abbas said, "Indeed, prayer after Asr has been forbidden, so I do not know whether you will be punished for it or rewarded, for Allah says, 'It is not for a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter, that they should [thereafter] have any choice about their affair. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly strayed into clear error.'" (Quran 33:36) Sufyan said, "He considers it to be on a ladder, meaning he prays from after Asr until the night."
