[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was afflicted with an ailment, so he started to complain and toss on his bed. Aisha asked him, "If one of us were to do this, would you find fault with them?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Indeed, the righteous are tested greatly, and a believer does not suffer any calamity greater than a thorn except that his sins are expiated by it and he is elevated by degrees."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ طَرَقَهُ وَجَعٌ فَجَعَلَ يَشْتَكِي وَيَتَقَلَّبُ عَلَى فِرَاشِهِ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ لَوْ صَنَعَ هَذَا بَعْضُنَا لَوَجِدْتَ عَلَيْهِ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِنَّ الصَّالِحِينَ يُشَدَّدُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَإِنَّهُ لَايُصِيبُ مُؤْمِنًا نَكْبَةٌ مِنْ شَوْكَةٍ فَمَا فَوْقَ ذَلِكَ إِلَّا حُطَّتْ بِهِ عَنْهُ خَطِيئَةٌ وَرُفِعَ بِهَا دَرَجَةً

[Machine] It was reported that the Prophet ﷺ was feeling pain, so he began to complain and move around on his bed. Aisha said to him, "If someone else suffered what you are suffering, I would have found him complaining." The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Indeed, Allah raises the rank of the believers through difficulties. No calamity or pain befalls a believer except that Allah ﷻ elevates his status through it and erases his sins. It is like what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said..."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ طَرَقَهُ وَجَعٌ فَجَعَلَ يَشْتَكِي وَيَتَقَلَّبُ عَلَى فِرَاشِهِ فَقَالَتْ لَهُ عَائِشَةُ لَوْ فَعَلَ هَذَا بَعْضُنَالَوَجِدْتَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ إِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ يُشَدَّدُ عَلَيْهِمْ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْ مُؤْمِنٍ تُصِيبُهُ نَكْبَةٌ شَوْكَةٌ وَلَا وَجَعٌ إِلَّا رَفَعَ اللهَ ﷻ لَهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً وَحَطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً أَوْ كَالَّذِي قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ fell ill and he began to complain and toss on his bed. Aisha said to him, "If one of us did this, you would have found fault with him." The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Indeed, righteous people are tested, and a believer is not afflicted with a calamity greater than a thorn, except that it will be a means of removing his sins and raising his rank."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ طَرَقَهُ وَجَعٌ فَجَعَلَ يَشْتَكِي وَيَتَقَلَّبُ عَلَى فِرَاشِهِ فَقَالَتْ لَهُ عَائِشَةُ لَوْ صَنَعَ هَذَا بَعْضُنَا لَوَجِدْتَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «إِنَّ الصَّالِحِينَ قَدْ يُشَدَّدُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَإِنَّهُ لَا يُصِيبُ مُؤْمِنًا نَكْبَةٌ مِنْ شَوْكَةٍ فَمَا فَوْقَهَا إِلَّا حُطَّتْ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةٌ وَرُفِعَ لَهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةٌ»

"عن عَائشَةَ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ طَرَقَه وَجَعٌ فَجَعَلَ يَشْتكِي وَيتَقَلَّب عَلَى فِراشِهِ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: لَوْ فَعَل هَذَا بَعْضنَا وَجدت عَلَيه، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ المُؤْمِنينَ لَيُشَدَّد عَلَيْهِم وَإنَّه لَيْسَ مِنْ مُؤْمِن تُصِيبُهُ نَكْبَةِ مِنْ شَوْكَة وَلَا وَجَع إِلا كَفَّر الله تَعَالَى عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئة وَرَفَعَ لَهُ بِها دَرَجَة".
