[Machine] O son of my brother, how did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ perform the rain prayer on the day he prayed for rain with the people? He said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out humbly, humble, and humble, and he performed in it as he would in the Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha."  

الحاكم:١٢١٨ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ السَّهْمِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ هِشَامِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّ الْوَلِيدَ أَرْسَلَهُ إِلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَقَالَ

يَا ابْنَ أَخِي كَيْفَ صَنَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ يَوْمَ اسْتَسْقَى بِالنَّاسِ فَقَالَ «خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مُتَخَشِّعًا مُتَذَلَّلًا مُتَبَذِّلًا فَصَنَعَ فِيهِ كَمَا يَصْنَعُ فِي الْفِطْرِ وَالْأَضْحَى»  

هَذَا حَدِيثٌ رُوَاتُهُ مِصْرِيُّونَ وَمَدَنِيُّونَ وَلَا أَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا مِنْهُمْ مَنْسُوبًا إِلَى نَوْعٍ مِنَ الْجَرْحِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ

[Machine] Al-Walid asked Ibn Abbas how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed istisqa' (prayer for rain). He said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out in a humble and devoted state, then he came to the prayer area and prayed two units of prayer, similar to how he prays on the days of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha."  

أحمد:٢٤٢٣ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ هِشَامِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ كِنَانَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَدِّي هِشَامَ بْنَ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

بَعَثَ الْوَلِيدُ يَسْأَلُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ كَيْفَ صَنَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الاسْتِسْقَاءِ؟ فَقَالَ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مُتَبَذِّلًا مُتَخَشِّعًا فَأَتَى الْمُصَلَّى فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ كَمَا يُصَلِّي فِي الْفِطْرِ وَالْأَضْحَى

[Machine] O nephew, ask him about how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed the prayer for rain on the day he prayed for rain with the people. Isaac said, "So I entered upon Ibn Abbas and said, 'O Abu Abbas, how did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ perform the prayer for rain on the day he prayed for rain with the people?' He replied, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out humbly and with humility, and he performed in it as he did in the prayers of the festival (Eid) and the sacrifice (Eid al-Adha).'"
