Hasan narrated from the Prophet ﷺ a tradition conveying the same meaning as that of Qatadah.
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِمَعْنَى قَتَادَةَ
[Machine] The boy is held in pledge by his ʿaqīqah; harm is removed from him and blood is shed for him on the seventh day—and it has passed.
الْغُلَامُ مُرْتَهَنٌ بِعَقِيقَتِهِ يُمَاطُ عَنْهُ الْأَذَى وَيُرَاقُ عَنْهُ الدَّمُ فِي الْيَوْمِ السَّابِعِ وَقَدْ مَضَى
