[Machine] "Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with a copy of the Torah, and he said: 'O Messenger of Allah, this is a copy of the Torah.' Then he remained silent and started reading. The face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ changed. Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, said: 'May you be sacrificed for this moment! Why do you not see the face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ?' So Umar looked at the face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: 'I seek refuge in Allah from the anger of Allah and the anger of His Messenger. We are pleased with Allah as our Lord, Islam as our religion, and Muhammad as our Prophet.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'We are pleased with Allah as our Lord, Islam as our religion, and Muhammad as our Prophet.' Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'By the One in Whose Hand Muhammad's soul is, if Moses were to appear to you and you were to follow him and abandon me, you would be led astray from the right path. And if he were alive during my prophethood, he would have followed me.'"

[Machine] Umar bin Al-Khattab came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I passed by a brother of mine from the Quraish who wrote down some verses from the Torah for me. Shall I not present them to you?" The face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ changed, so Abdullah ibn Thabit, who was present, said to Umar, "Can't you see the reaction of the Messenger of Allah's face?" Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) replied, "We are satisfied with Allah as our Lord, Islam as our religion, and Muhammad ﷺ as our Messenger." The Prophet ﷺ then turned away and said, "By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, if Musa were to come amongst you and you were to follow him and leave me, you would be led astray. You are my share of the nations, just as I am your share among the prophets."
