8. Book of Food
٨۔ كِتَابُ الْأَطْعِمَةِ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said in the Battle of Khaybar, "Whoever eats from this tree, meaning garlic, should not come to the mosques."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ فِي غَزْوَةِ خَيْبَرَ «مَنْ أَكَلَ مِنْ هَذِهِ الشَّجَرَةِ يَعْنِي الثُّومَ فَلَا يَأْتِيَنَّ الْمَسَاجِدَ»
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stayed with us and we provided him with food in which there was something from these dishes. When we brought it to him, he disliked it and said to his companions, "Eat, for I am not like any of you. I fear that my companion will be hurt." Abu Muhammad said, "If no one is hurt, then there is no harm in eating it."
نَزَلَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَتَكَلَّفْنَا لَهُ طَعَامًا فِيهِ شَيْءٌ مِنْ بَعْضِ هَذِهِ الْبُقُولِ فَلَمَّا أَتَيْنَا بِهِ كَرِهَهُ وَقَالَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ «كُلُوا فَإِنِّي لَسْتُ كَأَحَدٍ مِنْكُمْ إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ أُوذِيَ صَاحِبِي» قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد «إِذَا لَمْ يُؤْذِ أَحَدًا فَلَا بَأْسَ بِأَكْلِهِ»
