Khaibar is destroyed, for whenever we approach a (hostile) nation (to fight), then evil will be the morning for those who have been warned." Then the inhabitants of Khaibar came out running on the roads. The Prophet ﷺ had their warriors killed, their offspring and woman taken as captives. Safiya was amongst the captives, She first came in the share of Dahya Alkali but later on she belonged to the Prophet . The Prophet ﷺ made her manumission as her 'Mahr'.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , performed the dawn prayer with a water skin and then said, "Allah is the Greatest! Khaybar is destroyed. When we descend upon the land of a people, it is a bad morning for those who have been warned." He said, "So they came out hurrying on their mounts, while saying, 'Muhammad and his army have arrived.' Then the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , appeared before them and killed their fighters, captured their children, and Safiyyah became the share of Dihyah Al-Kalbi. Then she was brought to the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , who married her and made her dowry her manumission. 'Abdul Aziz bin Suhayb said to him, 'O Abu Muhammad, you have asked Anas about her beauty. He said to you, 'Anas has married her to herself.' Thabit laughed and said, 'Yes.'"

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed the morning prayer in Galas while being close to them, so he felt jealous of them and said, "Allah is greater. Khaibar has been destroyed twice. When we descend upon the land of a people, it is a bad morning for the warned ones." He said, "They would walk in the streets and say, 'Muhammad and the Khumais (a tribe) Muhammad and the Khumais, twice.' So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ killed the combatants, captured the prisoners, and Safiyyah became the property of Dihyah al-Kalbi. Then she was sent to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so he freed her and married her, and he made her freedom her dowry." Abdullah al-Aziz said, "O Abu Muhammad, were you the one who said to Anas, 'What makes you believe her?'?" Anas said, "She affirmed it herself by moving her head. This is an affirmation from her."
