Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "They say Al-Karm (the generous), and in fact Al-Karm is the heart of a believer."  

البخاري:٦١٨٣ – حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَيَقُولُونَ الْكَرْمُ إِنَّمَا الْكَرْمُ قَلْبُ الْمُؤْمِنِ

Do not use the word karm (for wine) for worthy of respect is the heart of a believer.  

مسلم:٢٢٤٧b – حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ وَابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ تَقُولُوا كَرْمٌ فَإِنَّ الْكَرْمَ قَلْبُ الْمُؤْمِنِ  

muslim:2247d – Zuhayr b. Ḥarb > ʿAlī b. Ḥafṣ > And Rqāʾ > Abū al-Zinād > al-Aʿraj > Abū Hurayrah

None of you should use the word al-harin (for grape) for the heart of a believer is karm (worthy of respect).  

مسلم:٢٢٤٧d – حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَفْصٍ حَدَّثَنَا وَرْقَاءُ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمُ الْكَرْمُ فَإِنَّمَا الْكَرْمُ قَلْبُ الْمُؤْمِنِ  

ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ قَوْلَهُ ﷺ «الْكَرْمُ الرَّجُلُ الْمُسْلِمُ» أَرَادَ بِهِ قَلْبَهُ
