I of all the people know best this verse of Al-Hijab. When Messenger of Allah ﷺ married Zainab bint Jahsh she was with him in the house and he prepared a meal and invited the people (to it). They sat down (after finishing their meal) and started chatting. So the Prophet ﷺ went out and then returned several times while they were still sitting and talking. So Allah revealed the Verse: 'O you who believe! Enter not the Prophet's houses until leave is given to you for a meal, (and then) not (so early as) to wait for its preparation .....ask them from behind a screen.' (33.53) So the screen was set up and the people went away.

quran:33:53

Believers, do not enter the Prophet’s apartments for a meal unless you are given permission to do so; do not linger until [a meal] is ready. When you are invited, go in; then, when you have taken your meal, leave. Do not stay on and talk, for that would offend the Prophet, though he would shrink from asking you to leave. God does not shrink from the truth. When you ask his wives for something, do so from behind a screen: this is purer both for your hearts and for theirs. It is not right for you to offend God’s Messenger, just as you should never marry his wives after him: that would be grievous in God’s eyes.

[AI] When the Prophet ﷺ married Zaynab, Umm Sulaym gave him a dish of barley in a bowl made of stones. Anas said, "The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Go and invite anyone you meet.' So, I invited whoever I met, and they started entering and eating until they were satisfied." The Prophet ﷺ then placed his hand on the food, made a supplication, and said, "Whatever Allah wishes to say." Anas continued, "I did not leave anyone whom I met without inviting them, and they all ate until they were full and left." Then, a group of them remained and continued to talk to the Prophet ﷺ, causing him to feel shy to ask them to leave. He eventually left them in the house. Later, Allah revealed the verse: "O you who have believed, do not enter the houses of the Prophet except when you are permitted for a meal, without awaiting its readiness. But when you are invited, then enter" (Quran 33:53) until the part: "for your hearts and their hearts" (Quran 33:53).

[AI] "I am the most knowledgeable of people or the most knowledgeable of people regarding the verse of Hijab. The Prophet ﷺ married Zainab bint Jahsh and slaughtered a sheep, then he called his companions and they ate and sat talking. The Prophet ﷺ would go out and enter while they were sitting, then he would go out and stay for as long as Allah wished, and he would return while they were sitting, and Zainab would be sitting in a corner of the house. The Prophet ﷺ felt shy to say anything to them, so the verse was revealed: 'O you who have believed, do not enter the houses of the Prophet except when you are permitted for a meal, without awaiting its readiness. But when you are invited, then enter' [Surah Al-Ahzab, verse 53] The verses continued until the statement 'and ask them from behind a partition' [Surah Al-Ahzab, verse 53]. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded the Hijab to be in place and it was struck."

[AI] I know people by this verse, when Zainab was given to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and she was with him in the house and made food, then the people came, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out and the people stayed in their places, and he returned while the people were sitting. So Allah revealed, "O you who have believed, do not enter the houses of the Prophet except when you are permitted for a meal, without awaiting its readiness. But when you are invited, then enter; and when you have eaten, disperse without seeking to remain for conversation. Indeed, that [behavior] was troubling the Prophet, and he is shy of [dismissing] you. But Allah is not shy of the truth. And when you ask [his wives] for something, ask them from behind a partition." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ struck the curtain and the people stood up.

[AI] I heard Anas say that Zainab used to boast over the wives of the Prophet ﷺ , saying, "Allah married me to him from the Heavens," and this verse was revealed regarding her hijab. The Prophet ﷺ went out of the house while they were seated, then returned and found them still seated until this matter was visible in his face. So Allah revealed the verse, "O you who have believed, do not enter the houses of the Prophet except when you are permitted for a meal, without awaiting its readiness" [Al-Ahzab 53].

[AI] Zainab bint Jash, one of the wives of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , used to boast and say, "Indeed, Allah married me from the heavens, and the verse of hijab (veiling) was revealed therein." People gathered in the Prophet's house, then he came out and they saw the joy on his face. Then the verse of hijab was revealed: "O you who have believed, do not enter the houses of the Prophet except when permitted for a meal" [Surah Al-Ahzab 33:53].
