Messenger of Allah ﷺ was prevented from performing (ʿUmra) Therefore, he shaved his head and had sexual relations with his wives and slaughtered his Hadi and performed Umra in the following year.  

البخاري:١٨٠٩ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ سَلاَّمٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ قَالَ قَالَ

ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَدْ أُحْصِرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَحَلَقَ رَأْسَهُ وَجَامَعَ نِسَاءَهُ وَنَحَرَ هَدْيَهُ حَتَّى اعْتَمَرَ عَامًا قَابِلاً

[Machine] Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, had been confined by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so he shaved his head, had sexual relations with his wives, and sacrificed his sacrificial animal, until he performed Umrah for a year's duration.
