97. Tawḥīd (Oneness of Allah)

97.12 Allah has one hundred Names less One

٩٧۔١٢ باب إِنَّ لِلَّهِ مِائَةَ اسْمٍ إِلاَّ وَاحِدًا

[Machine] Ibn Abbas said, "He is the Possessor of Great Majesty, the Kind and Gentle One."

قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ذُو الْجَلاَلِ الْعَظَمَةِ، الْبَرُّ اللَّطِيفُ.

bukhari:7392Abū al-Yamān > Shuʿayb > Abū al-Zinād > al-Aʿraj > Abū Hurayrah

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah has ninety-nine Names, one-hundred less one; and he who memorized them all by heart will enter Paradise." To count something means to know it by heart.  

البخاري:٧٣٩٢حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ لِلَّهِ تِسْعَةً وَتِسْعِينَ اسْمًا مِائَةً إِلاَّ وَاحِدًا مَنْ أَحْصَاهَا دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ {أَحْصَيْنَاهُ} حَفِظْنَاهُ
