A man asked Ibn ʿUmar about the touching of the Black Stone. Ibn ʿUmar said, "I saw Messenger of Allah ﷺ touching and kissing it." The questioner said, "But if there were a throng (much rush) round the Kaʿba and the people overpowered me, (what would I do?)" He replied angrily, "Stay in Yemen (as that man was from Yemen). I saw Messenger of Allah ﷺ touching and kissing it." (Using translation from Bukhārī 1611)   

البيهقي:٩٢٢٢ – أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا حَمَّادٌ عَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَرَبِيٍّ قَالَ سَأَلَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ رَجُلٌ عَنِ اسْتِلَامِ الْحَجَرِ قَالَ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَسْتَلِمُهُ وَيُقَبِّلُهُ فَقَالَ أَرَأَيْتَ إنْ زُحِمْتُ؟ أَرَأَيْتَ إنْ غُلِبْتُ؟ قَالَ اجْعَلْ أَرَأَيْتَ بِالْيَمَنِ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَسْتَلِمُهُ وَيُقَبِّلُهُ

"A man asked Ibn Umar about touching the Black Stone and he said: 'I saw the Messenger of Allah touching it and kissing it.' The man said: 'What if it is too crowded and I am overwhelmed?' Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, said: 'Leave your "what if" in Yemen! I saw the Messenger of Allah touching it and kissing it.'"  

النسائي:٢٩٤٦ – أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَرَبِيٍّ قَالَ سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ ابْنَ عُمَرَ عَنِ اسْتِلاَمِ الْحَجَرِ فَقَالَ
