Ibn 'Umar used to go out to al-Ghabah (jungle), but he neither broke his fast, nor shortened his prayer. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2414)   

البيهقي:٨١٤٥أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ دَاسَةَ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا الْمُعْتَمِرُ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَخْرُجُ إِلَى الْغَابَةِ فَلَا يُفْطِرُ وَلَا يَقْصُرُ
