[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ that on the day of the conquest of Mecca, he performed the prayers with only one ablution and wiped over his socks. Umar ibn Al-Khattab said, "I saw you doing something that you did not use to do before." The Prophet ﷺ replied, "I deliberately did it, O Umar."  

البيهقي:٧٥٩ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي قَالُوا أنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ أنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنَا بَحْرُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ قَالَ قُرِئَ عَلَى ابْنِ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَكَ سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ صَلَّى يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ الصَّلَوَاتِ بِوُضُوءٍ وَاحِدٍ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رَأَيْتُكَ صَنَعْتَ شَيْئًا مَا كُنْتَ تَصْنَعُهُ قَالَ عَمْدًا صَنَعْتُهُ يَا عُمَرُ  

رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى الْقَطَّانِ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ

You have today done something that you have not been accustomed to before. He (the Holy Prophet) said: 0 'Umar, I have done that on purpose.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed five prayers with the same ablution of the occasion of the capture of Mecca, and he wiped over his socks. ‘Umar said to him(the Prophet): I saw you doing a thing today that you never did. He said: I did it deliberately.  

أبو داود:١٧٢ – حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنِي عَلْقَمَةُ بْنُ مَرْثَدٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ خَمْسَ صَلَوَاتٍ بِوُضُوءٍ وَاحِدٍ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ فَقَالَ لَهُ عُمَرُ إِنِّي رَأَيْتُكَ صَنَعْتَ الْيَوْمَ شَيْئًا لَمْ تَكُنْ تَصْنَعُهُ قَالَ عَمْدًا صَنَعْتُهُ

[Machine] "When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ conquered Mecca on the day of victory, he performed ablution and wiped over his socks. 'Umar said to him, 'O Messenger of Allah, today I saw you doing something that you do not normally do.' He replied, 'I did it intentionally, O Umar.'"
