[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took a gold ring and placed its gem on the inner part of his palm. People followed him and did the same, taking a ring made of paper or silver.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ اتَّخَذَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَجَعَلَ فَصَّهُ مِمَّا يَلِي كَفَّهُ فَاتَّخَذَ النَّاسُ فَرَمَى بِهِ وَاتَّخَذَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ وَرِقٍ أَوْ فِضَّةٍ
Messenger of Allah ﷺ wore a gold or silver .. ring and placed its stone towards the palm of his hand. The people also started wearing gold rings like it, but when the Prophet ﷺ saw them wearing such rings, he threw away that golden ring and then wore a silver ring.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ اتَّخَذَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَجَعَلَ فَصَّهُ مِمَّا يَلِي كَفَّهُ فَاتَّخَذَهُ النَّاسُ فَرَمَى بِهِ وَاتَّخَذَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ وَرِقٍ أَوْ فِضَّةٍ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took a seal made of gold, and he used to place its impression from the bottom of his palm. People then started adopting this practice. He threw it away and then took a seal made of silver.
