[Machine] By Allah, they are nothing but stones that Allah has designated as a direction for our prayers, and we turn towards them even in our death.

البيهقي:٦٦٠٥ – وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْقَاضِي أنبأ أَبُو سَهْلِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ ثنا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ أنبأ شُعَيْبٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ فِي قِصَّةٍ ذَكَرَهَا قَالَ وَكَانَ الْبَرَاءُ بْنُ مَعْرُورٍ أَوَّلَ مَنِ اسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ حَيًّا وَمَيِّتًا وَهُوَ مُرْسَلٌ جَيِّدٌ 6605 وَيُذْكَرُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ ذَكَرَ عُمَرُ الْكَعْبَةَ فَقَالَ

وَاللهِ مَا هِيَ إِلَّا أَحْجَارٌ نَصَبَهَا اللهُ قِبْلَةً لِأَحْيَائِنَا وَنُوَجِّهُ إِلَيْهَا مَوْتَانَا
