[Machine] That he testified regarding the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: "It is obligatory to perform ghusl (ritual bath) on the day of Jumu'ah (Friday), and to use a toothstick, and to touch something with a fragrance, if available." 'Amr ibn Sulaim testified saying: "I testify that performing ghusl is obligatory. As for using the toothstick and fragrance, Allah knows best. But this is what I have heard."  

البيهقي:٥٩٥٤ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَمْرٍو الْأَدِيبُ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْإِسْمَاعِيلِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ الْمَدِينِيُّ ثنا حِرْمِيُّ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ ثنا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ قَالَ أَشْهَدُ عَلَى أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ

أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ الْغُسْلُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ وَأَنْ يَسْتَنَّ وَأَنْ يَمَسَّ مِنْ طِيبٍ إِنْ وُجِدَ قَالَ عَمْرُو بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ الْغُسْلَ وَاجِبٌ فَأَمَّا الِاسْتِنَانُ وَالطِّيبُ فَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ وَلَكِنْ هَكَذَا سَمِعْتُ

I testify that Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The taking of a bath on Friday is compulsory for every male Muslim who has attained the age of puberty and (also) the cleaning of his teeth with Siwak, and the using of perfume if it is available." ʿAmr (a sub-narrator) said, "I confirm that the taking of a bath is compulsory, but as for the Siwak and the using of perfume, Allah knows better whether it is obligatory or not, but according to the Hadith it is as above.")
