[Machine] "Abu Ubayd, this is how I remember him, then I was informed about him later on that he never doubted when the Imam would feed you, so feed him. And Sufyan ath-Thawri narrated this from Abdul-A'la from Abu Abdur-Rahman from his statement similar to the first one and added, 'We asked, how can we feed him?' He said, 'When you have food, but he remains silent, open it for him.'"  

البيهقي:٥٧٩٢أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الْكَارِزِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو عُبَيْدٍ ثنا ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ عَنْ لَيْثٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَحْسَبُهُ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ؓ قَالَ

أَبُو عُبَيْدٍ هَكَذَا حَفِظْتُهُ أَنَا عَنْهُ ثُمَّ بَلَغَنِي بَعْدُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ كَانَ لَا يَشُكُّ فِيهِ إِذَا اسْتَطْعَمَكُمُ الْإِمَامُ فَأَطْعِمُوهُ وَرَوَاهُ سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مِنْ قَوْلِهِ نَحْوَ الْأَوَّلِ وَزَادَ قُلْنَا مَا اسْتِطْعَامُهُ؟ قَالَ إِذَا تَعَايَا فَسَكَتَ فَافْتَحُوا عَلَيْهِ
