[Machine] A man heard someone reciting "Say, He is Allah, the One" repeatedly. So, when morning came, he went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned it to him. The man used to frequently recite it, and Al-Qa'qaa bin Makhshi (a companion) would recite it as well. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "By the One in whose hand is my soul, indeed it equals one-third of the Quran."

The next morning he came to Messenger of Allah ﷺ and informed him about it as if he thought that it was not enough to recite. On that Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "By Him in Whose Hand my life is, this Surah is equal to one-third of the Qur'an!"

A man heard another man reciting: Surat-ul-Ikhlas (The Unity) 'Say: He is Allah, the One (112) and he was repeating it. The next morning he came to Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned the whole story to him as if he regarded the recitation of that Sura as insufficient On that, Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "By Him in Whose Hand my soul is! That (Sura No. 112) equals one-third of the Qur'an."

A man heard another man reciting (in the prayers): 'Say (O Muhammad): "He is Allah, the One." (112.1) And he recited it repeatedly. When it was morning, he went to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him about that as if he considered that the recitation of that Sura by itself was not enough. Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "By Him in Whose Hand my life is, it is equal to one-third of the Qur'an."

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abd ar-Rahman ibn Abdullah ibn Sasaca from his father that Abu Said al-Khudri heard a man reciting Surat al-Ikhlas (Sura 112), repeating it over and over again. In the morning he went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned it to him, as if he thought little of it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Bythe One in whose hand my self is, it is equal to one third of the Qur'an."  

مالك:١٥-١٩ – حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي صَعْصَعَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ
