[Machine] Indeed, you used to perform a prayer. We have accompanied the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and we did not see him perform it. He had prohibited it, meaning the two units of prayer after the afternoon prayer.  

البيهقي:٤٣٧٥أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ حَمْدَانَ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثنا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ حُمْرَانَ بْنَ أَبَانَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ

إِنَّكُمْ لَتُصَلُّونَ صَلَاةً لَقَدْ صَحِبْنَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَمَا رَأَيْنَاهُ يُصَلِّيهَا وَلَقَدْ نَهَى عَنْهَا يَعْنِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ  

رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبَانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ غُنْدَرٍ وَكَذَلِكَ رَوَاهُ مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ

You offer a prayer which I did not see being offered by Messenger of Allah ﷺ when we were in his company and he certainly had forbidden it (i.e. two rakʿat after the ʿAsr prayer).

Muawiya said (to the people), "You offer a prayer which we, who were the companions of the Prophet ﷺ never saw the Prophet ﷺ offering, and he forbade its offering," i.e. the two rakʿat after the compulsory ʿAsr prayer.
