These narrations have agreed that he washed both of them, and the narration of Ad-Darawardi suggests that he may have washed them in his sandals. Hisham Ibn Sa'd is not a very reliable narrator, so what contradicts the authentic sources cannot be accepted from him. How can he be the one countering the consensus when they are many, and he is just one? Ath-Thawri and Hisham Ibn Sa'd have also narrated from Zaid Ibn Aslam.
