[Machine] We returned with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from Mecca to Medina and we reached a water source on the way. A group of people were hurrying to perform ablution while they were in a rush for Asr prayer. We reached them and their heels were white, untouched by water. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Complete your ablution properly. Woe to the heels from the fire, complete your ablution properly."  

البيهقي:٣٢١ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ وَأَبُو زَكَرِيَّا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى وَأَبُو سَعِيدٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ الْفَضْلِ وَأَبُو سَعِيدٍ مَسْعُودُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجُرْجَانِيُّ قَالُوا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا هَارُونُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنا أَبُو الْفَضْلِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يِسَافٍ عَنْ أَبِي يَحْيَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ

رَجَعْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ مَكَّةَ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ وَانْتَهَيْنَا إِلَى مَاءٍ بِالطَّرِيقِ فَتَعَجَّلَ قَوْمٌ يَتَوَضَّئُونَ وَهُمْ عِجَالٌ عِنْدَ صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ فَانْتَهَيْنَا إِلَيْهِمْ وَأَعْقَابُهُمْ بِيضٌ تَلُوحُ لَمْ يَمَسَّهَا الْمَاءُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَسْبِغُوا الْوُضُوءَ وَيْلٌ لِلْأَعْقَابِ مِنَ النَّارِ أَسْبِغُوا الْوُضُوءَ  

رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ عَنْ وَكِيعٍ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ

The Prophet ﷺ said: Woe to (dry) heels, because of Hell-fire. Make your ablution thorough.  

مسلم:٢٤١a – وَحَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ أَخْبَرَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ هِلاَلِ بْنِ يِسَافٍ عَنْ أَبِي يَحْيَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ
