[Machine] Thawban, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, narrated: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished his prayer, he would seek forgiveness three times, then he would say: "O Allah, You are peace and from You is peace. Blessed are You, O Possessor of majesty and honor." Then Abu Abdullah Al-Hafiz narrated to us, who informed us that Abu Bakr ibn Abdullah informed him that Al-Hasan ibn Sufyan informed him that Dawud ibn Rushayd informed him that Al-Walid ibn Muslim informed him that Al-Awza'i heard from Abu Ammar, who heard from Abu Asma'ah, who heard from Thawban, and he mentioned the Hadith in a similar manner except that it contains the addition: "And to You is peace. Blessed are You, O Possessor of majesty and honor." Al-Walid said: I said to Al-Awza'i, "And how is seeking forgiveness done?" He said: One says: "I seek forgiveness from Allah, I seek forgiveness from Allah."
