bayhaqi:2325 – Abū ʿAbdullāh al-Ḥāfiẓ > Abū al-Ḥasan Aḥmad b. Muḥammad al-ʿAnazī > ʿUthmān b. Saʿīd > ʿAbdullāh b. Rajāʾ > Zāʾidah > ʿĀṣim b. Kulayb al-Jarmī from my father > Wāʾil b. Ḥujr

[Machine] He (someone) informed him (someone else). He said, "I said, 'Let me see the Messenger of Allah ﷺ how he prays.'" He said, "So I looked at him, he stood up, said the takbeer (saying Allahu Akbar), and raised his hands until they reached his ears. Then he placed his right hand on the back of his left hand and wrist from the forearm."  

البيهقي:٢٣٢٥ – وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعَنَزِيُّ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ ثنا زَائِدَةُ ثنا عَاصِمُ بْنُ كُلَيْبٍ الْجَرْمِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي أَنَّ وَائِلَ بْنَ حُجْرٍ

أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ قُلْتُ لَأَنْظُرَنَّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ كَيْفَ يُصَلِّي قَالَ فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَيْهِ قَامَ وَكَبَّرَ وَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى حَاذَتَا بِأُذُنَيْهِ ثُمَّ وَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى ظَهْرِ كَفِّهِ الْيُسْرَى وَالرُّسْغِ مِنَ السَّاعِدِ

He mentioned the narration and said at the end, 'Then, I came later during a cold time and saw people with most of their clothes moving their hands from beneath their clothes."
