[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: "If one of you gargles and sniffs water up his nose, let him do it two or three times, fully."  

البيهقي:٢٢٧ – وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ فُورَكٍ أنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنْ قَارِظٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي غَطَفَانَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ تَوَضَّأَ فَتَمَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْشَقَ مَرَّتَيْنِ فَقَالَ

رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا مَضْمَضَ أَحَدُكُمْ وَاسْتَنْشَقَ فَلْيَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ مَرَّتَيْنِ بَالِغَتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا
