[Machine] The mother of the child freed him, even if he was illegitimate, and so it was.  

البيهقي:٢١٧٨٥أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّرِيفُ أَبُو الْفَتْحِ نَاصِرُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْعُمَرِيُّ أنبأ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي شُرَيْحٍ أنبأ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ الْبَغَوِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ أنبأ سُفْيَانُ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنْ عُمَرَ ؓ قَالَ

أُمُّ الْوَلَدِ أَعْتَقَهَا وَلَدُهَا وَإِنْ كَانَ سَقْطًا وَكَذَلِكَ  

رَوَاهُ شَرِيكٌ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ مَسْرُوقٍ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنْ عُمَرَ ؓ
