[Machine] I came to Ali while he was camped at the monastery of Abu Musa. I found him eating, so he said, "Come, eat." I said, "I want to fast." He said, "And I want to do it too." So I approached and ate. When he finished, he said, "O son of Tayyah, establish the prayer."
أَتَيْتُ عَلِيًّا وَهُوَ مُعَسْكِرٌ بِدَيْرِ أَبِي مُوسَى فَوَجَدْتُهُ يَطْعَمُ فَقَالَ ادْنُ فَكُلْ فَقُلْتُ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ الصَّوْمَ قَالَ وَأَنَا أُرِيدُهُ فَدَنَوْتُ فَأَكَلْتُ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ قَالَ يَا ابْنَ التَّيَّاحِ أَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ
