[Machine] If a man has a slave and he frees half of him, only what is freed is severed.  

البيهقي:٢١٣٢١ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ثنا حِبَّانُ عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنِ الْأَشْعَثِ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ؓ قَالَ

"عَنْ عَلِىٍّ قَالَ: إِذَا كَانَ لِرَجُلٍ عَبْدٌ فَأَعْتَقَ نِصْفَهُ لَمْ يُعْتَقْ مِنْهُ إِلَّا مَا عَتَقَ".
