[Machine] Umar ibn al-Khattab sent Ibn Sura to govern Basra, and he sent Shuraikh to govern Kufa.

أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ بَعَثَ ابْنَ سُورٍ عَلَى قَضَاءِ الْبَصْرَةِ وَبَعَثَ شُرَيْحًا عَلَى قَضَاءِ الْكُوفَةِ

"عَنِ الشَّعْبِىِّ: أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ بَعَثَ ابْنَ سَوْرٍ عَلَى قَضَاءِ الْبَصْرَةِ وَبَعثَ شُرَيْحًا عَلَى قَضَاءِ الْكُوفَةِ".
