[Machine] I witnessed the battle of Siffin, and they wouldn't harm the wounded, nor kill a captive, nor loot a slain person.  

البيهقي:١٦٧٥٣ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حِمْشَاذٍ الْعَدْلُ أَنْبَأَ الْحَارِثُ بْنُ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ أَنَّ كَثِيرَ بْنَ هِشَامٍ حَدَّثَهُمْ ثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ بُرْقَانَ ثَنَا مَيْمُونُ بْنُ مِهْرَانَ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ

شَهِدْتُ صِفِّينَ وَكَانُوا لَا يُجِيزُونَ عَلَى جَرِيحٍ وَلَا يَقْتُلُونَ مُوَلِّيًا وَلَا يَسْلُبُونَ قَتِيلًا

هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ فِي هَذَا الْبَابِ وَلَهُ شَاهِدٌ صَحِيحٌ صحيح
