[Machine] If the fall occurs while the person is still alive, his blood money is to be paid whether the assailant had intended it or not. This is according to what I have been informed by Zaher, from Al-Baghawi, from Ahmad, from Al-Abbad bin Al-Awwam, from Hajjaj, and there is a disagreement on this matter.  

البيهقي:١٦٤٢٣وَرُوِّينَا عَنْ حَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ

إِذَا وَقَعَ السِّقْطُ حَيًّا كَمُلَتْ دِيَتُهُ اسْتَهَلَّ أَوْ لَمْ يَسْتَهِلَّ وَهُوَ فِيمَا أُخْبِرْتُ عَنْ زَاهِرٍ عَنِ الْبَغَوِيِّ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ عَنِ الْعَبَّادِ بْنِ الْعَوَّامِ عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ وَفِيهِ انْقِطَاعٌ
