[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ruled in a case where one man held onto another while a third person killed him, saying that the killer should be killed and the one who held onto him should be imprisoned. This ruling was narrated by Sufyan from Jabir from 'Amir from Ali.  

البيهقي:١٦٠٣٠أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْفَقِيهُ أنبأ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو عُبَيْدٍ ثنا سَلْمُ بْنُ جُنَادَةَ ثنا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ قَالَ

قَضَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي رَجُلٍ أَمْسَكَ رَجُلًا وَقَتَلَ الْآخَرُ قَالَ يُقْتَلُ الْقَاتِلُ وَيُحْبَسُ الْمُمْسِكُ وَعَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ عَامِرٍ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ؓ أَنَّهُ قَضَى بِذَلِكَ
