[Machine] "Lā'ana fa Lā'ana Rasūl Allāh ﷺ ya'nī baynahumā fa qāla Rasūl Allāh ﷺ inẓuruhā fa in jā'at bihi abyadah sabtan aqdā al'aynayn fahuwa li Hilāl ibn Umayyah wa in jā'at bihi akhalah ja'dan hamshas-sāqayn fahuwa li Shariq ibn Sahmā' qāla fa unbi'tu annahā jā'at bihi akhalah ja'dan hamshas-sāqayn."

"I cursed, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed him, meaning between the two of them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Look at it, if it comes with white streaks, it will be for Hilal ibn Umayyah, and if it comes with dark curly hair, twisted at the legs, it will be for Shariq ibn Sahma'.' He said, 'So, I was informed that it came with dark curly hair, twisted at the legs.'  

البيهقي:١٥٣٤٧ – وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي الْوَزِيرِ التَّاجِرُ نا أَبُو حَاتِمٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ الرَّازِيُّ نا الْأَنْصَارِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ ح قَالَ وَأنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ نا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أنا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ سُئِلَ هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَقْذِفُ امْرَأَتَهُ فَحَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ عَنْ ذَلِكَ وَأَنَا أَرَى أَنَّ عِنْدَهُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ عِلْمًا فَقَالَ إِنَّ هِلَالَ بْنَ أُمَيَّةَ قَذَفَ امْرَأَتَهُ بِشَرِيكِ بْنِ سَحْمَاءَ وَكَانَ أَخَا الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ لِأُمِّهِ وَكَانَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ

لَاعَنَ فَلَاعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَعْنِي بَيْنَهُمَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ انْظُرُوهَا فَإِنْ جَاءَتْ بِهِ أَبْيَضَ سَبْطًا أَقْضَى الْعَيْنَيْنِ فَهُوَ لِهِلَالِ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ وَإِنْ جَاءَتْ بِهِ أَكْحَلَ جَعْدًا حَمْشَ السَّاقَيْنِ فَهُوَ لِشَرِيكِ بْنِ سَحْمَاءَ قَالَ فَأُنْبِئْتُ أَنَّهَا جَاءَتْ بِهِ أَكْحَلَ جَعْدًا حَمْشَ السَّاقَيْنِ  

رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى وَقَدْ رَوَيْنَاهُ فِي حَدِيثِ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَتَمَّ مِنْ ذَلِكَ وَفِيهِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لَوْلَا مَا مَضَى مِنْ كِتَابِ اللهِ لَكَانَ لِي وَلَهَا شَأْنٌ وَفِي كُلِّ ذَلِكَ دَلَالَةٌ عَلَى أَنَّهُ لَاعَنَ بَيْنَهُمَا عَلَى الْحَمْلِ

I asked Anas b. Malik (Allah be pleased with him) knowing that he had a knowledge of (the case of li'an). He said: Hilal b. Umayya (Allah be pleased with him) accused his wife with the charge of fornication with Sharik b. Sahma, the brother of al-Bara'b Malik from the side of his mother. And he was the first person who invoked curse (li'an) in Islam. He in fact invoked curse upon her. Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: See to her if she gives birth to a white-complexioned child having dark hair and bright eyes; he must be the son of Hilal b. Umayya; and if she gives birth to a child with dark eyelids, curly hair and lean shanks, he must be the offspring of Sharik b. Sahma. He said: I was informed that she gave birth to a child having dark eyelids, curly hair and lean shanks. (Using translation from Muslim 1496)

رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَبْصِرُوهَا فَإِنْ جَاءَتْ بِهِ أَبْيَضَ سَبِطًا قَضِيءَ الْعَيْنَيْنِ فَهُوَ لِهِلَالِ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ وَإِنْ جَاءَتْ بِهِ أَكْحَلَ جَعْدًا حَمْشَ السَّاقَيْنِ فَهُوَ لِشَرِيكِ بْنِ سَحْمَاءَ قَالَ فَأُنْبِئْتُ أَنَّهَا جَاءَتْ بِهِ أَكْحَلَ جَعْدًا حَمْشَ السَّاقَيْنِ
