[Machine] From his father, in the narration of 'Abd al-Rahman and Ishaaq ibn 'Abdullah, that they heard Abu Hurayrah saying: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When the prayer is called, do not come to it hastily while you are walking, rather come to it calmly and with tranquility. Whatever you have caught up with, then pray it, and whatever you have missed, then complete it, for indeed one of you is in prayer as long as he is intending to pray."  

أحمد:٩٩٣٠قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مَالِكٌ وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ

عَنْ أَبِيهِ فِي حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَإِسْحَاقَ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِأَنَّهُمَا سَمِعَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا ثُوِّبَ بِالصَّلَاةِ فَلَا تَأْتُوهَا وَأَنْتُمْ تَسْعَوْنَ وَأْتُوهَا وَعَلَيْكُمُ السَّكِينَةُ فَمَا أَدْرَكْتُمْ فَصَلُّوا وَمَا فَاتَكُمْ فَأَتِمُّوا فَإِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ فِي صَلَاةٍ مَا كَانَ يَعْمِدُ الصَّلَاةَ

When the words of Iqama are pronounced, do not come to (prayer) running, but go with tranquillity, and pray what you are in time for, and complete (what you have missed) for when one of you is preparing for prayer he is in fact engaged in prayer.

malik:3-4

Yahya related to me from Malik from al-Ala ibn Abd ar-Rahman ibn Yaqub from his father and Ishaq ibn Abdullah that they informed him that they heard Abu Hurayra say, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'When the iqama is called for prayer, do not come to it running, but come with calmness. Pray what you catch and complete what you miss. You are in prayer as long as your aim is the prayer.' "

[Machine] Narrated by Al-Qa'nabi from Malik from Al-'Ala' bin 'Abdur-Rahman from his father from Ishaq bin Abdullah that they both informed him that they heard Abu Hurairah saying that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If the prayer is commenced, do not approach it while you are rushing, but come to it in a calm manner, and upon you is tranquility. Whatever you have caught up to, then pray, and whatever you have missed, then complete it, for one of you is in a state of prayer as long as he is not intending to leave the prayer."  

ابن حبّان:٢١٤٨أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ قَالَ

حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَإِسْحَاقِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّهُمَا أَخْبَرَاهُ أَنَّهُمَا سَمِعَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا ثُوِّبَ بِالصَّلَاةِ فَلَا تَأْتُوهَا وَأَنْتُمْ تَسْعَوْنَ وَائْتُوهَا وَعَلَيْكُمُ السَّكِينَةُ فَمَا أَدْرَكْتُمْ فَصَلُّوا وَمَا فَاتَكُمْ فَأَتِمُّوا فَإِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ فِي صَلَاةٍ مَا كَانَ يَعْمِدُ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ»

"إذَا ثُوِّبَ للصَّلاةِ فلا تَأتُوها وَأنْتُمْ تَسْعَوْنَ، وَأتُوها وَعَليكم السكينة، فما أدركْتُمْ فصَلُّوا، وما فاتكُم فأتُّموا، فإنَّ أحَدكمُ إذَا كانَ يعمدُ إلى الصَّلاة فهو في صلاةٍ".
