ahmad:9893 – Muḥammad b. Jaʿfar > Shuʿbah > Muḥammad b. Ziyād > Abū Hurayrah

[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet (PBUH), he said, "I do not like to have the equivalent of gold like Uhud mountain except that I have prepared it for a debt, unless it is preserved for payment (of debts) on the day I die."  

أحمد:٩٨٩٣ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يُحَدِّثُ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ لِي مِثْلَ أُحُدٍ ذَهَبًا قَالَ شُعْبَةُ أَوْ قَالَ مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ لِي أُحُدًا ذَهَبًا أَدَعُ يَوْمَ أَمُوتُ دِينَارًا إِلَّا أَنْ أُرْصِدَهُ لِدَيْنٍ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "I do not like to have the equivalent of Uhud mountain in gold." Shu'bah said, or he said, "I do not like to have even a single gold coin from it, except for a debt that I owe."
