"There is no good deed that the son of Adam does, but between ten and seven hundred Hasanahs will be recorded for him. Allah, the mighty and sublime, said: 'Except fasing, for it is for me and I shall reward for it. He gives up his desires and his food for my sake. Fasting is a shield, and the fasting person has two moments of joy. One when he breaks his fast and another when he meets his Lord. And the smell that comes from the mouth of the fasting person is better before Allah than the fragrance of musk." '  

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَا مِنْ حَسَنَةٍ عَمِلَهَا ابْنُ آدَمَ إِلاَّ كُتِبَ لَهُ عَشْرُ حَسَنَاتٍ إِلَى سَبْعِمِائَةِ ضِعْفٍ قَالَ اللَّهُ ﷻ إِلاَّ الصِّيَامَ فَإِنَّهُ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ يَدَعُ شَهْوَتَهُ وَطَعَامَهُ مِنْ أَجْلِي الصِّيَامُ جُنَّةٌ لِلصَّائِمِ فَرْحَتَانِ فَرْحَةٌ عِنْدَ فِطْرِهِ وَفَرْحَةٌ عِنْدَ لِقَاءِ رَبِّهِ وَلَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ  

The Messenger of Allah said: "Indeed your Lord said: 'Every good deed is rewarded with ten of the same up to seven hundred times over. Fasting is for Me, and I shall reward for it.' Fasting is a shield from the Fire. The smell coming from the mouth of the one fasting is more pleasant to Allah than the scent of musk. If one of you is abused by an ignorant person while fasting, then let him say: 'Indeed I am fasting.'"  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ يَقُولُ كُلُّ حَسَنَةٍ بِعَشْرِ أَمْثَالِهَا إِلَى سَبْعِمِائَةِ ضِعْفٍ وَالصَّوْمُ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ الصَّوْمُ جُنَّةٌ مِنَ النَّارِ وَلَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ وَإِنْ جَهِلَ عَلَى أَحَدِكُمْ جَاهِلٌ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ فَلْيَقُلْ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ وَسَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ وَكَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ وَسَلاَمَةَ بْنِ قَيْصَرٍ وَبَشِيرِ ابْنِ الْخَصَاصِيَةِ وَاسْمُ بَشِيرٍ زَحْمُ بْنُ مَعْبَدٍ وَالْخَصَاصِيَةُ هِيَ أُمُّهُ  

“Every good deed of the son of Adam will be multiplied manifold. A good deed will be multiplied ten times up to as many as seven hundred times, or as much as Allah wills. Allah says: ‘Except for fasting, which is for Me and I shall reward for it. He gives up his desire and his food for My sake.’ The fasting person has two joys, one when he breaks his fast and another when he meets his Lord. [Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "By the One in whose hand is my soul, the scent of the fasting person's mouth is more pleasant to Allah than the scent of musk. He says, 'The fasting person abstains from their desires, food, and drink for My sake. Fasting is for Me and I will reward it accordingly, with every good deed being multiplied ten times to seven hundred times, except for fasting, which is for Me and I will reward it.'"

[Machine] Narrated Abu Huraira: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Allah, the Most Blessed and Exalted, said: 'Every good deed of the son of Adam will be multiplied; a good deed is multiplied by ten to seven hundred times, except for fasting, for it is for Me and I will reward for it. The fasting person abstains from food, drink, and sexual relations, so My reward is for him. He leaves his desires and food for My sake.' The person observing fasting should avoid obscene speech and ignorance. If someone abuses him or quarrels with him, he should say: 'I am fasting, I am fasting.'"  

حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «قَالَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى كُلُّ حَسَنَةٍ عَمِلَهَا ابْنُ آدَمَ جَزَيْتُهُ بِهَا عَشْرَ حَسَنَاتٍ إِلَى سَبْعِ مِائَةِ ضِعْفٍ إِلَّا الصِّيَامَ فَهُوَ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ الصِّيَامُ جُنَّةٌ فَمَنْ كَانَ صَائِمًا فَلَا يَرْفُثْ وَلَا يَجْهَلْ فَإِنِ امْرُؤٌ شَتَمُهُ أَوْ آذَاهُ فَلْيَقُلْ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ»

"إِنَّ ربَّكم يقولُ: كلُّ حَسَنة بِعشْرِ أَمْثَالِهَا إِلى سبعِمائة ضعفٍ والصومُ لِى وأَنَا أَجْزِى به، والصومُ جُنَّةٌ من النَّارِ، وَلَخَلُوفُ فَمِ الصائِم أَطْيَبُ عندَ اللَّهِ من ريحِ المسكِ، وإِن جَهِلَ على أَحدِكم جاهلٌ، وهو صائمٌ فليقل: إِنِّى صائم".
