"Two men sneezed in he presence of the Prophet ﷺ and he replied (said: YarhamukAllah; may Allah have mercy on you') to one and not to the other. It was said: 'O Messenger of Allah ﷺ, two men sneezed in your presence and you replied to one and not to the other?' He said: "'This one praised Allah(said Al-Hamdulillah fter sneezing) but that one did not.'"  

عَطَسَ رَجُلاَنِ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَشَمَّتَ أَحَدَهُمَا أَوْ سَمَّتَ وَلَمْ يُشَمِّتِ الآخَرَ فَقِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ عَطَسَ عِنْدَكَ رَجُلاَنِ فَشَمَّتَّ أَحَدَهُمَا وَلَمْ تُشَمِّتِ الآخَرَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ هَذَا حَمِدَ اللَّهَ وَإِنَّ هَذَا لَمْ يَحْمَدِ اللَّهَ  

[Machine] Two men sat with the Prophet ﷺ, one of them was more honorable than the other. The honorable man sneezed and did not praise Allah, so the Prophet ﷺ did not respond with the typical response. Then the other man sneezed and praised Allah, so the Prophet ﷺ responded with the typical response. The honorable man said, "I sneezed and you did not respond, but when this person sneezed, you responded." The Prophet ﷺ said, "You forgot to mention Allah, so I forgot you. But this person mentioned Allah, so I mentioned him." (This hadith has a clinically approved chain of narrators, although adh-Dhahabi did not include it in his summary.)  

جَلَسَ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ رَجُلَانِ أَحَدُهُمَا أَشْرَفُ مِنَ الْآخَرِ فَعَطَسَ الشَّرِيفُ فَلَمْ يَحْمَدِ اللَّهَ فَلَمْ يُشَمِّتْهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ ثُمَّ عَطَسَ الْآخَرُ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ فَشَمَّتَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ الشَّرِيفُ عَطَسْتُ فَلَمْ تُشَمِّتْنِي وَعَطَسَ هَذَا فَشَمَّتَّهُ قَالَ «إِنَّكَ نَسِيتَ اللَّهَ فَنَسِيتُكَ وَإِنَّ هَذَا ذَكَرَ اللَّهَ فَذَكَرْتُهُ» صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص  

[Machine] Two men sat next to the Prophet ﷺ, one of them was more honorable than the other. The honorable one sneezed but did not praise Allah, while the other sneezed and praised Allah. So the Prophet ﷺ turned towards the one who did not praise Allah and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I sneezed but you did not pray for me, and this person sneezed, and you prayed for him?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Indeed, he mentioned the name of Allah, so I remembered him, and you forgot, so I forgot you."  

جَلَسَ رَجُلَانِ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَحَدُهُمَا أَشْرَفُ مِنَ الْآخَرِ فَعَطَسَ الشَّرِيفُ فَلَمْ يَحْمَدِ اللَّهَ وَعَطَسَ الْآخَرُ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ فَشَمَّتَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ عَطَسْتُ فَلَمْ تُشَمِّتْنِي وَعَطَسَ هَذَا فَشَمَّتَّهُ؟ فقَالَ ﷺ «إِنَّ هَذَا ذَكَرَ اللَّهَ فَذَكَرْتُهُ وَأَنْتَ نَسِيتَ فَنَسِيتُكَ»  

"عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: عَطَسَ عِنْدَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَجُلَانِ: أَحَدُهما أَشْرَفُ مِنْ الآخِرَ فَعَطسَ الشَّرِيفُ فَلَم يَحمدِ الله - تَعَالَى- فَلَمْ يَشّمتْه النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَعَطَسَ الآَخَرُ فَحمِد الله - تَعَالَى- فَشَمتَّه النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ الشَّرِيفُ: عَطَسْتُ عِنْدَكَ فَلَم تُشَمِّتْني وَعَطَسَ هَذَا فَشَمَّتَّه، فَقَالَ: هذَا ذَكَرَ الله فَذَكَرتُهُ، وأَنْتَ نَسِيتَ الله - تَعَالَى- فَنَسِيتكَ".  

"جَلَسَ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ رَجُلَانِ أَحَدُهُمَا أَشْرَفُ مِنَ الآخَرِ، فَعَطَسَ الشَّريِفُ فَلَمْ يَحْمَدِ اللهَ -تَعَالَى- فَلَمْ يُشَمِّتْهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَعَطَسَ الآخَرُ فَحَمِدَ اللهَ -تَعَالَى- فَشَمَّتَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ الشَّرِيفُ: عَطسْتُ فَلَمْ تُشَمِّتْنِى، وَعَطَسَ هَذَا فَشَمَّتَّهُ؟ قَالَ: إِنَّكَ نَسِيتَ اللهَ -تَعَالَى- فَنَسِيتُكَ، وَهَذَا ذَكَرَ الله -تَعَالَى- فَذَكَرْتُهُ".  

"عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيرةَ قَالَ: عَطَسَ عِنْدَ النَّبِىِّ ﷺ رَجُلَانِ: أَحدهُمَا أَشْرَف مِنَ الآخَرِ، فَعَطسَ الشَّرِيفُ فَلَمْ يَحَمْدِ الله فَلَمْ يُشَمِّتْهُ النَّبِىُّ ﷺ وَعَطَسَ الآخر

فَحَمِد الله فَشَمَّتهُ النَّبِىُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ الشَّرِيفُ: يَا رَسُولَ الله عَطسْت فَلَم تُشَمِّتنى وَعَطَسَ هذَا فَشَمَّتهُ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ هَذَا ذَكَرَ الله ﷻ فَذَكَرْتُهُ، وَأَنْتَ نَسِيتَ الله فَنَسِيتكَ".
