[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave me some dates, and I put them in a bag for us. We hung it on the roof of the house, and we did not eat from it until the people of Sham attacked the city.  

أحمد:٨٢٩٩ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْمُتَوَكِّلِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

أَعْطَانِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ شَيْئًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ فَجَعَلْتُهُ فِي مِكْتَلٍ لَنَا فَعَلَّقْنَاهُ فِي سَقْفِ الْبَيْتِ فَلَمْ نَزَلْ نَأْكُلُ مِنْهُ حَتَّى كَانَ آخِرُهُ أَصَابَهُ أَهْلُ الشَّامِ حَيْثُ أَغَارُوا عَلَى الْمَدِينَةِ
