[Machine] "Leave them, O Abu Abd al-Malik, for indeed, he (referring to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) passed by a funeral, and he cried over it, and I was with him, and Umar ibn al-Khattab was also with him. Umar berated the women who were crying over the funeral, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, 'Leave them, O son of al-Khattab, for indeed, the soul is afflicted, and indeed, the eye sheds tears, and indeed, the covenant is recent.' He (Abu Abd al-Malik) said, 'Did you hear this from him?' He (Umar) said, 'Yes.' He (Abu Abd al-Malik) said, 'So Allah and His Messenger know best.'"
