Show mercy to receive Mercy

ahmad:6541 – Yazīd > Ḥarīz > Ḥibbān al-Sharʿabī > ʿAbdullāh b. ʿAmr b. al-ʿĀṣ

from the Prophet ﷺ that he said while he was on the pulpit, “Be merciful ˹to others˺ and you will receive mercy. Forgive others and Allah will forgive you.”

“Woe to the vessels of speech (ears that ignore advice); Woe to the persistent folk who persist upon ˹the wrong˺ they continue to do while they are aware.”  

أحمد:٦٥٤١ – حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ؛ أَخْبَرَنَا حَرِيزٌ؛ حَدَّثَنَا حِبَّانُ الشَّرْعَبِيُّ؛ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ وَهُوَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ: «ارْحَمُوا تُرْحَمُوا، وَاغْفِرُوا يَغْفِرِ اللهُ لَكُمْ۔»

«وَيْلٌ لِأَقْمَاعِ الْقَوْلِ، وَيْلٌ لِلْمُصِرِّينَ الَّذِينَ يُصِرُّونَ عَلَى مَا فَعَلُوا وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ۔»
