[Machine] Abdullah bin Umar used to issue Fatwas based on what Allah, the Almighty, revealed regarding the permissibility of enjoying oneself during Umrah and what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did in this regard. People would then say to Ibn Umar, "How can you go against your father's prohibition?" He would reply, "Woe unto you! Do you not fear Allah? If Umar had indeed prohibited it, would he have sought the good in it, performing Umrah entirely during months of Hajj? Why do you deem it forbidden, while Allah has made it lawful and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ acted upon it? Is the practice of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ or Umar more deserving of being followed? Umar did not say to you that performing Umrah during the months of Hajj is prohibited; rather, he said that performing a complete Umrah during these months is more virtuous than at any other time."
