[Machine] "And if I wanted, I would have said it during the time of the Prophet's ﷺ Covenant, until when it was in the last days of Muawiya's reign, Rafa'a bin Khadeej informed him of a hadith. So he went, and I was with him, and he asked him about it. He said, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade renting of farms, so he abandoned renting them.' So whenever he was asked after that, he would say, 'Ibn Khadeej claims that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade renting of farms.'"  

أحمد:٥٣١٩حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ الثَّقَفِيُّ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يُكْرِي أَرْضَهُ عَلَى عَهْدِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَعُثْمَانَ وَبَعْضَ عَمَلِ مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ

وَلَوْ شِئْتُ قُلْتُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ فِي آخِرِ إِمَارَةِ مُعَاوِيَةَ بَلَغَهُ عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ حَدِيثٌ فَذَهَبَ وَأَنَا مَعَهُ فَسَأَلَهُ عَنْهُ فَقَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ كِرَاءِ الْمَزَارِعِ فَتَرَكَ أَنْ يُكْرِيَهَا فَكَانَ إِذَا سُئِلَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ يَقُولُ زَعَمَ ابْنُ خَدِيجٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ كِرَاءِ الْمَزَارِعِ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to forbid the renting of land. So Ibn Umar (Allah be pleased with them) abandoned it, and subsequently whenever he was asked about it, he said: Rafi b. Khadij (Allah be pleased with him) alleged that Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade it.

أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يُكْرِي مَزَارِعَهُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَفِي إِمَارَةِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَعُثْمَانَ وَصَدْرًا مِنْ خِلاَفَةِ مُعَاوِيَةَ حَتَّى بَلَغَهُ فِي آخِرِ خِلاَفَةِ مُعَاوِيَةَ أَنَّ رَافِعَ بْنَ خَدِيجٍ يُحَدِّثُ فِيهَا بِنَهْىٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا مَعَهُ فَسَأَلَهُ فَقَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَنْهَى عَنْ كِرَاءِ الْمَزَارِعِ فَتَرَكَهَا ابْنُ عُمَرَ بَعْدُ وَكَانَ إِذَا سُئِلَ عَنْهَا بَعْدُ قَالَ زَعَمَ رَافِعُ بْنُ خَدِيجٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْهَا

[Machine] From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he approached him while I was with him and asked him. He said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade renting out farms. Ibn Umar left it, so he did not rent it out. When he was asked, he would say, 'Ibn Khadijah's son claims that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade renting out farms.'  

أحمد:١٧٢٥٦حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ بَلَغَهُ أَنَّ رَافِعًا يُحَدِّثُ فِي ذَاكَ بِنَهْيٍ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَتَاهُ وَأَنَا مَعَهُ فَسَأَلَهُ فَقَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ كِرَاءِ الْمَزَارِعِ فَتَرَكَهَا ابْنُ عُمَرَ فَكَانَ لَا يُكْرِيهَا فَكَانَ إِذَا سُئِلَ يَقُولُ زَعَمَ ابْنُ خَدِيجٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ كِرَاءِ الْمَزَارِعِ

[Machine] "The land used to be cultivated during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with barley and some straw, I do not know what it is. And Ibn Umar used to cultivate his land during the times of Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and the beginning of Mu'awiya's rule until he heard that Rasulullah ﷺ prohibited the renting of farms. So he stopped cultivating it and whenever he was asked, he would say, 'Ibn Khadijah claims that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited renting farms.'"
